Crowbar is the undisputed king of Sludge Metal. Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA), the band was formed in 1990 by the legendary Kirk Windstein. They are world-renowned for their “heavier-than-thou” sound—a crushing blend of slow, brooding doom metal and the raw aggression of hardcore punk.

2026: The “Confess To Nothing” Tour
2026 is a massive year for the band. They are currently on their global “Confess To Nothing Tour”, which covers the US, UK, and Europe.
Tour Schedule Highlights:
- Spring 2026 (USA): A co-headlining run with fellow NOLA legends Eyehategod.
- Key Dates: March 19 (Baton Rouge), April 17 (Atlanta – with Acid Bath), and April 18 (New Orleans).
- Summer 2026 (Europe): A festival and club run across the continent starting in June.
- June 24, 2026: Copenhell, Copenhagen (DK) — They are officially confirmed for the Copenhell lineup this summer!

Crowbar at Næstved Metalfest 2026?
As of March 15, 2026, Crowbar has not yet been officially announced for the final 10 slots of Næstved Metalfest 2026 (August 27–29).
However, the opportunity is extremely high:
- The Window: Their European tour schedule has a gap in late August after their German club dates (Frankfurt, August 6).
- The Vibe: Næstved Metalfest has already booked Týr, Heathen, and Mnemic. Crowbar’s sludge sound would provide the perfect “heavy weight” contrast to the thrash and folk currently on the bill.
- The Copenhell Factor: Since they are not playing Copenhell in June, they will be “warm” for the Danish audience, and many Næstved fans are actively campaigning for their return for an outdoor summer set.
